RED RIBBON CLUB (RRC)

VISION, MISSION 

Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in
schools and colleges through which, students will spread awareness over HIV /
AIDS. It envisages to instill charity mind among all the students to extend their able
help towards developing healthy life styles, donating blood to all the needy by
promotion of regular voluntary blood donation.

OBJECTIVES

The RRC aims at harnessing the potential of youth by equipping them with
correct information on HIV/AIDS prevention, care, support and treatment. It also
aims to build their capacities as peer educators to spread right messages on health
seeking behavior and healthy living. They will also be motivated to create enabling
environment and increasing voluntary blood donations among youth.

ROLE

*Promoting Regular voluntary blood donation by young people and increase access to safe and adequate quantities of blood.
** Conducting AIDS awareness programs.
*** Observance of World AIDS Day (1 December), Blood Donor Day (14
June).
**** Educating youth with correct, concise and adequate information about HIV/AIDS.
