College, Pollachi. The role of vigilance is to protect the organization from internal dangers which are more
serious than external threats. The central vigilance commission which has a special responsibility under para (v) of government of India ,declares that the week beginning from 31st october every year should be observed as the vigilance awareness week. It is one of the tools of the commission in increasing Public awarness about the perils of corruption.
