The department of English Language (UG/SF) organized one day workshop on 03.03.23

entitled “Language and Communication”. Ms.P.Mariammal Asst.Prof oF English welcomed

the gathering. Dr.R.Muthukumaran,Principal NGM College honored the Chief Guest and

delivered the presidential address. The Principal motivated the students to inculcate the habit

of newspaper reading regularly.He also insisted to develop communication in an effective

way for their career opportunities.Dr.Henry Kishore, the Resource Person of the day

elaborated and enriched the students on communication skills .UG first year students from the

various departments actively participated and comprehended the information shared by the

Chief Guest. Dr.Henry Kishore highlighted the significance of LSRW Skills.

The chief guest goaded the students that Communication is fundamental to the existence and survival of humans as well as to any organization. He explained that the Communication plays a pivotal role in creating and sharing ideas. He demonstrated the different categories of communication instantly with the aid of the students. He provides the opportunity to the students to share their barriers in communication and he stated the few measures to overcome it. The session was enlighten with the real time instances. The program came to an end with an expression of gratitude by Ms.A.Velumani Asst.Prof of English.The workshop concluded by saluting the nation with National Anthem.
