PG and Research Department of Botany organized a Training program on ‘Grooming next
generation bioentrepreneur- mushroom cultivation & practice” on 20.10.2023 at PG Botany
Mushroom farm, NGM College, Pollachi. The Training program was conducted by the staff
members of PG and Research Department of Botany. They clearly explained and given training
on mushroom cultivation. The Training brought together over 51 students from UG and PG
Departments of NGM College. The Training was handled by Staff members of PG and Research
Department of Botany, Dr. R. Rakkimuthu, Dr. P. Sathishkumar, Dr. A.M. Ananda kumar, Mrs.
D. Sowmiya. The training program provided an interactive atmosphere between the students.
Program Activities:
Theoretical Sessions: Summarized the theoretical topics covered, such as mushroom biology,
market analysis, and entrepreneurship.
Practical Training: Explained the hands-on training activities, including substrate preparation,
processing, packing and maintenance & harvesting.
