PG and Research Department of Botany organized a “Outreach Training Programme on
Oyster Mushroom Cultivation” on 04.02.2024 at Senjolai organic farm, Sulur, Coimbatore. The
Training program was conducted by the staff members of PG and Research Department of
Botany. The Training was handled by Staff members of Dr. P. Sathishkumar, Dr. A.M. Ananda
kumar, PG and Research Department of Botany, NGM College. They clearly explained and
given training on mushroom cultivation. The Training brought together over 40 students &
farmers various regions from Tamil Nadu. The training program provided an interactive
atmosphere between the students.
Program Activities:
Theoretical Sessions: Summarized the theoretical topics covered, such as mushroom biology,
market analysis, and entrepreneurship.
Practical Training: Explained the hands-on training activities, including substrate preparation,
processing, packing and maintenance & harvesting.
