Women entrepreneurship has been recognized as an important source of economic growth. Generally women sharing common social values and responsibilities with their counterparts in their day to day lives. They create new jobs for themselves and others and also provide society with different solutions to management, organization and business problems. However, they still represent a minority of all entrepreneurs. This national seminar aims to identify the factors involved in rural women empowerment through entrepreneurship in economic development. Women- entrepreneurs have been making a considerable impact in all most all the segments of the economy. The main objective of this seminar is to understand the concept of women entrepreneurs and develop
them socially, economically and to identify the major problems faced by women entrepreneurs in conducting their business. Most of the women entrepreneurs are of the opinion that lack of training is one of the major reason for survive in the market. Hence the government should conduct frequent training programmes and create awareness about theschemes introduced for women entrepreneurs. This seminar will suggest that the training should be made compulsory for women entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs often faced gender-based barriers to starting and growing their businesses, like discriminatory property, matrimonial and inheritance laws and/or cultural practices; lack of access to formal nance mechanisms; limited mobility and access to information and networks, etc. In this context, the two Day National Seminar on “Rural Women Empowerment Through Entrepreneurship” focuses on the following sub-themes:

Seminar Objective The main objective of this seminar on Rural Women Empowerment Through Entrepreneurship is to identify the factors involved in empowerment of rural women through entrepreneurship for economic development and also identify the major opportunities and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in conducting their business. Ÿ The paper should neither exceed 12 pages nor less than 6 pages
Ÿ References in APA style, Plagiarism is strictly denounced
Ÿ Research articles will be accepted only if the level of plagiarism is below 10%
